Kalakshetra Foundation, based at Chennai, is a centre for promoting and preserving the arts and crafts of India.
It is an autonomous body under Ministry of Culture, Government of India.The institution was founded in 1936 by Rukmini Devi Arundale, the maestro of Bharatnatyam dance, choreographer and a vibrant visionary.
Kalakshethra will celebrate its 64th Annual Art Festival from 26 January to 02 February 2017. The event will be inaugurated on 26th January at 5.30 pm. The entry is by tickets.Tickets will be available from 16th January 2017 at Kalakshetra Foundation (10am to 5pm).
